Improving pay and conditions at Mosaic
The SDA is currently in negotiations with Betts for a new Agreement.
The SDA’s key focus in these upcoming negotiations is to secure:
- Better wages
- Fairer rostering – for your work/life balance
- More time off with pay
- Your hard-won SDA Union conditions
There is plenty of bargaining ahead of us over the coming months and the SDA will keep you up to date on any developments.
Remember, you have the final say in any new Agreement which would be put to Mosaic workers in a nationwide ballot. No new Agreement can be put in place without a majority yes vote in the ballot.
Stay up to date with bargaining
SDA & Mosaic to bargain for new Mosaic Brands Agreement
In good news for Mosaic members, the SDA and Mosaic have agreed to negotiate a new Mosaic Enterprise Agreement.
Your pay and conditions are currently set out by the General Retail Industry Award 2020. The Award outlines the minimum entitlements that retail workers can be paid in the industry.
Enterprise Agreements are required by law to be better than the Award which means that Mosaic workers will be better off under an Agreement as opposed to the Award.
This is positive step towards securing improvements to your pay and conditions over the next few years.
The SDA is committed to a thorough bargaining process and the first step is surveying all SDA members at Mosaic about the workplace issues that matter to you.
It’s incredibly important that you have a say before any negotiations begin and we will take your feedback from the survey to form a log of claims to take to the Company.
Once a log of claims is finalised, negotiation meetings with Mosaic will begin.
Remember, you have the final say in any new Agreement which would be put to Mosaic workers in a nationwide ballot. No new Agreement can be put in place without a majority yes vote in a ballot.
As part of bargaining, you should receive a Notice of Employee Representational Rights (NERR) – the SDA is your union and will represent you in negotiations.
As an SDA member, we ask for your support as we look to start bargaining to ensure we can secure important improvements to your pay and conditions.
The SDA will keep you updated with information as this process commences.
