Essential Independent Supermarket Workers Deserve a Pay Rise Now!

The SDA has been campaigning for supermarket workers to be recognised for the work they have done in providing an essential service to the community during the COVID-19 crisis.

Coles and Woolworths have already moved to reward their workers with a pay rise: it is time that Independent Supermarkets did the same.

We are calling on Independent Supermarkets to do the right thing by their workers and immediately announce a pay rise that will give those workers a much-needed boost in their earnings prior to Christmas.
